Nancy McCallion & Grand Archives in-Studio 2A Tuesday

Tuesday November 17th is busy with in-studio performances from Nancy McCallion at 3:30pm and Grand Archives at 5:30pm on The Homestretch. Local top notch singer-songwriter Nancy McCallion has great new album, Take A Picture Of Me To Show I Was Here, which is a collection of songs that were inspired by a photo exhibit of pictures taken by homeless day laborers in Tucson. These contemplative and inspiring songs are complimented by sweet harmonies and stellar musicianship. The CD release party at The Hut on Friday Nov. 20th, 8pm, is a benefit for The Primavera Foundation, which promotes economic and social justice. Grand Archives are a band with roots in Tucson on Sub Pop Records. Their indie folk sound fits right in with label mates the Fleet Foxes and Iron & Wine. Grand Archives will be performing Tuesday night at Plush. S opens the show around 9pm. More in-studios are coming this week with Thao with The Get Down Stay Down on Wednesday and the Generationals on Thursday.
