Haiti Benefit - Green Light in-studio on The Home Strertch

Sunday, January 31st, there is a Benefit Concert for Haiti Reborn's Earthquake Relief Program at Club Congress from 3 to 11pm. Friday Jan. 29th at 5:30 two of the benefit's organizers, James Jordan and Gerard Dalencourt, will stop by for an interview on The Home Stretch. Gerard is from Haiti and will perform in Studio 2A with his group Green Light. The benefit features music from: Spirit Familia, Amy Rude, Salvador Duran, Jimmy Carr, TheJits, Maggie Golston, Dirk Wednesday, Hank Topless, Caliche con Carne, Naim Amor, The Sleeky Chaps and Green Light. The Benefit will also include a Silent Auction for artwork and other items donated by local galleries such as the Degrazia and La Sirena galleries. Proceeds from the benefit will mostly go to Haiti Reborn, with a percentage also given to Tucson-based World Care. People are also being encouraged to bring contributions of First Aid and personal hygiene supplies, over the counter medicines, blankets in good shape, and dry goods such as rice and beans. These "hard" contributions will all be turned over to World Care.
