KXCI Tucson: Featured Albums, Week of Sept. 12th

It's a new week and we've got four new featured albums for your daytime enjoyment at KXCI 91.3FM.

Your Morning Brew (7-10am) has the Global Express each weekday at 7:20am, this week featuring Light The Horizon by Bedouin Soundclash, world music from the exotic reaches of Canada. Your Morning Brew's Featured Album of the Week (8:20am) is Blitzen Trapper's American Goldwing, their 6th studio album.

Over on The Home Stretch (3-6pm) the Local Pick of the Week, daily at 3:30pm, is the new CD from Combo Westside, entitled Full Bloom. They'll have a CD release party this Friday at Club Congress in dowtown Tucson, as well as be our guests on this week's Locals Only (Monday 8-10pm) and again on Onda Suave, Wednesday from 8 to 10pm.

Also on The Home Stretch, Carol's National Pick of the Week is the new Woody Guthrie tribute album Note of Hope, which features "new" Woody songs taken from his writings and interpreted by folks like Jackson Browne, Ani DiFranco, and Lou Reed.

The Woody Guthrie Tribute CD will be available as a premium when you pledge your support during the Fall Membership Drive at 520-623-1000.
