KXCI Presents! Dr. Dog - Monday Oct. 1st

Dr. Dog and Cotton Jones tonight October 1st at The Rialto Theatre in a KXCI Presents! concert, doors open at 7pm.

Dr. Dog’s unique brand of indie-rock finds inspiration in 60’s pop and psychedelic folk rock and has Tucson ties with Dimitri from Golden Boots as a member. Cotton Jones make classic sounding indie folk-pop. Tune in to 91.3FM Monday for your chance to win a pair of tickets.

Beach House are touring behind, Bloom, their latest Sub Pop release, Beach House create indie-pop anchored by dreamy female vocals with roots in 60’s psychedelic pop.

V. Lundon and Tell Me Something Good celebrate the release of “Mallory’s Missing Camera,” Saturday, September 22nd, 7pm at Borderlands Brewing Co. Also on the bill: The Tryst, Courtney Robbins, Cristina Williams, Kaia Chesney, and Adam Nixon. Part of the proceeds go to The National M.S. Society.

Two great KXCI presents! shows this Friday September 14th with the B-Side Players and Diunna Greenleaf.

Tune in to hear a great interview at 4:45 Friday with Diunna Greenleaf and KXCI's Marty Kool, host of The Blues Review, on The Home Stretch. Diunna Greenleaf is a Koko Taylor Award Blues Queen 2012 nominee. This remarkable blues singer hailing from Huston Texas, find out more about her on air and with her band Blue Mercy featuring Bob Corritore at her Rhythm and Roots performance Friday at 8pm at Plaza Palomino.

The B-Side Players were featured at last years Festival En El Barrio and are back for another KXCI Presents! show at Club Congress this Friday. This triple bill of the B-Sde Players, The Jons and Carlos Arzate brings their revolutionary latin reggae and rock to the Club Congress stage at 8pm.

Calexico exclusive Locals Only live performance in Studio 2A

Tune in to Locals Only for an exclusive hour long interview and performance with Calexico this Monday, Sept. 10th at 9pm. The whole Calexico touring band and equipment packed into KXCI's Studio 2A in preparation for their European tour, which starts Sept. 13th in London behind their brand new release, Algiers, which comes out Tuesday Sept. 11th on Anti- Records.
